An Ionic Bond is the force of attraction between the opposite charges of an ion. Ionic Bonds between metal and nonmetal bonds result to form attraction of opposite charges. I can form an ionic bond because i am metal. I would like to form this bond with anyone else who can form an ionic bond. ionic bonding occurs between a pair of atoms when one of them gives up its valance electrons to the other.Both atoms end up with a charge, one negative and one positive. is the electromatic interaction between conduction electrons and the metallic neuclei in metals. I can form a metallic bond where as I am a metal. i would like to form this bond with anyone else who can form a metallic bond. In metallic bonds, atoms form a regular structure. These bonds are held together by the attraction of the nucleus to the electrons.Metals form cations and the positive charge attracts electrons. Each atom in a metal shares a bond with a number of other metal atoms. Remember that in metals, the number of valance electrons can change. The electrons move around to the other atoms in the bond. The only elements who can form this bond are metals with metals.
